Consultation has concluded
Applying for benefits can be confusing.
The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) wants to make it easier for individuals and families learn about benefits, and support them as they apply. Communities have told us to improve how we share information about benefits and the way to access them. Making our communication better will help people access benefits more easily.
Our goals are:
For applicants to be confident that their benefits application was received and is being processed
For next steps to be clear to applicants
To communicate with the people we serve in ways that work for them
We are asking for your help to improve how we support people and help them get benefits. Input shared here will directly impact our communication about benefits and access with the communities we serve.
